Reade Scott WhinnemReade Scott Whinnem is the author of two books, Utten and Plumley, a middle grade fantasy novel, and The Pricker Boy, a YA horror novel. For the past two decades he has taught at the Dennis-Yarmouth Regional High School. For three years he was co-director of the Buzzards Bay Writing Project's summer institute for teachers.
In addition to being a writer/teacher, he is also an avid gardener, cook, and photographer. He loves objects with history: coins, yellowed photographs, and old diaries. He and his family live on Cape Cod where they dig clams, correct essays, and, when necessary, reassure their overweight cat that she is a devastatingly attractive feline. Photo by John Sykes |
